This Privacy Policy describes how FangDash ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our game and related services at fangdash.mrdemonwolf.workers.dev (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Twitch OAuth, we receive and store:

• Your Twitch username (display name)
• Your Twitch user ID (unique identifier)
• Your Twitch profile avatar URL
• Your email address (provided by Twitch during authentication)

We do not access your follower list, subscription status, stream data, or any other Twitch data beyond basic profile information required for authentication.

Game Data

We collect and store the following gameplay data:

• Game scores, distances traveled, and run durations
• Achievement progress and unlock timestamps
• Currently equipped wolf skin
• Multiplayer race history, results, and placements
• Total games played, total distance, and highest score

Analytics Data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how players use FangDash. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Browser type, version, and language settings
• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and screen resolution
• Operating system
• General geographic location (country and city level, derived from IP address)
• Referral source (how you found FangDash)
• Session duration and bounce rate
• In-game events (game starts, game overs, achievement unlocks, skin equips)

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this data. Google may also use the collected data to contextualize and personalize ads in its own advertising network. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Technical Data

We automatically collect through our hosting infrastructure:

• IP address (processed by Cloudflare for security, not stored by us)
• Browser type and version
• Device type and screen dimensions
• General geographic region (country level)
• Request timestamps and response times

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the game — Authenticate your account, save scores, track achievements, enable multiplayer
• Display your identity — Show your username and avatar on leaderboards and in races
• Improve the game — Analyze usage patterns via Google Analytics to fix bugs, optimize performance, and prioritize features
• Prevent cheating — Validate score submissions server-side using anti-cheat checks
• Communicate — Respond to support requests via Discord or GitHub

Third-Party Services

FangDash integrates with the following third-party services:

Data Storage and Security

• Database — Game data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite-based), hosted on Cloudflare's global network
• Authentication — Session tokens are managed by Better Auth, a self-hosted authentication framework running on our Cloudflare Workers
• Encryption — All connections to FangDash use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access — Only authorized team members have access to production data

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

FangDash is intended for users aged 13 and older.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• FangDash requires a Twitch account for authentication, and Twitch requires users to be at least 13 years old per their Terms of Service
• If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can delete that information
• We do not target advertising to children or use personal information of children for marketing purposes

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Twitch — Authentication only (OAuth token exchange)
• Cloudflare — Infrastructure provider (processes requests to serve the application)
• Google — Pseudonymized analytics data via Google Analytics
• PartyKit — Real-time game state during multiplayer races
• Legal compliance — We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — View your profile, scores, achievements, and skins in-game at any time
• Correction — Your Twitch username and avatar update automatically when you change them on Twitch
• Deletion — Contact us via Discord to request complete account and data deletion. We will process deletion requests within 30 days
• Analytics opt-out — Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data
• Cookie control — You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in

For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to:

• Request a portable copy of your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

For California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Request deletion of personal information
• Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Data Retention

• Account data — Retained for as long as your account exists
• Game data (scores, achievements, skins) — Retained for as long as your account exists
• Analytics data — Retained by Google Analytics for up to 26 months
• Server logs — Retained by Cloudflare per their data retention policy

Upon account deletion, we remove all personally identifiable game data within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (total games played, average scores) may be retained for statistical purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes:

• The effective date at the top of this page will be updated
• We may notify you via an in-game notice or on our Discord server

Continued use of FangDash after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
