Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how FangDash ("we", "us", "our"), a project of MrDemonWolf, Inc., collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our game and related services at fangdash.mrdemonwolf.workers.dev (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information

You can play solo without an account. When you sign in with Twitch OAuth to save progress and race others, we receive and store:

• Your Twitch username (display name)
• Your Twitch user ID (unique identifier)
• Your Twitch profile avatar URL
• Your email address (provided by Twitch during authentication)

We do not access your follower list, subscription status, stream data, or any other Twitch data beyond the basic profile fields required for authentication.

Game Data

When you are signed in, we store your gameplay progress:

• Game scores, distances traveled, and run durations
• Achievement progress and unlock timestamps
• Currently equipped wolf skin and unlocked skins
• Multiplayer race history, results, and placements
• Aggregate stats: total games played, total distance, highest score, and level/XP

Scores are validated server-side by anti-cheat checks. Runs that fail validation are stored but grant no XP, stats, or unlocks.

Technical Data

We automatically collect standard hosting data through our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare:

• IP address (processed by Cloudflare for security and routing)
• Browser type and version
• Device type and general request metadata
• General geographic region (country level)
• Request timestamps and response times

This is ordinary web-server and CDN log data used to serve the app securely and defend against abuse. We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles from it.

Cookies and Local Storage

FangDash uses only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences:

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Audio settings are stored locally in your browser under the keys fangdash_volume and fangdash_muted.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the game — Authenticate your account, save scores, track achievements and skins, and enable multiplayer races
• Display your identity — Show your username and avatar on leaderboards and in races
• Prevent cheating — Validate score submissions server-side with anti-cheat checks and per-run replay protection
• Keep the Service healthy — Review aggregate server metrics from Cloudflare and community feedback to fix bugs and improve performance
• Communicate — Respond to support requests via Discord or GitHub

Third-Party Services

FangDash integrates with the following third-party services:

Data Storage and Security

• Database — Game data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite-based), hosted on Cloudflare's global network
• Authentication — Sessions are managed by Better Auth, a self-hosted framework running on our Cloudflare Workers
• Encryption — All connections to FangDash use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Access — Only authorized team members have access to production data

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

FangDash is intended for users aged 13 and older.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• Signing in requires a Twitch account, and Twitch requires users to be at least 13 years old per their Terms of Service
• If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it
• We do not target advertising to children or use children's personal information for marketing

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Twitch — Authentication only (OAuth token exchange)
• Cloudflare — Infrastructure provider (processes requests to serve the application and store data)
• PartyKit — Real-time game state during multiplayer races
• Legal compliance — We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access — View your profile, scores, achievements, and skins in-game at any time
• Correction — Your Twitch username and avatar update automatically when you change them on Twitch
• Profile visibility — Toggle your profile between public and private in Settings; private profiles are excluded from public leaderboards
• Deletion — Delete your account and data from the in-game Settings page. Deletion has a 24-hour grace period, after which your personal game data is permanently removed. You can also request deletion via Discord
• Cookie control — Manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that clearing the authentication cookie will sign you out

For EEA/UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you also have the right to:

• Request a portable copy of your data
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

For California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Request deletion of personal information
• Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Data Retention

• Account data — Retained for as long as your account exists
• Game data (scores, achievements, skins) — Retained for as long as your account exists
• Server logs — Retained by Cloudflare per their data-retention policy

When you delete your account, we remove your personally identifiable game data after the 24-hour grace period elapses. Anonymized aggregate data (such as total games played across all players) may be retained for statistical purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes:

• The effective date at the top of this page will be updated
• We may notify you via an in-game notice or on our Discord server

Continued use of FangDash after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
