Listening History & Stats
WolfWave can keep an opt-in, on-device log of what you play, with top artists, listening time, a weekly trend, a Monthly Wrap, and the !stats chat command.
Your private play log. WolfWave can track what you play and turn it into stats. It's off by default, stays only on your Mac, and never gets uploaded.
Turn it on
Opt-in, always. Flip it on in Settings → History & Stats, or during the first-launch setup. Until you do, nothing is recorded.
- Off means no play log exists.
- Turn it off later and you can clear what was saved.
What counts as a play
Skipping doesn't count. A track logs only after it plays past its halfway point or past four minutes, whichever comes first. Hunting through songs won't junk up your history. A song you actually listen to gets logged once.
The log is an on-device, append-only file. It's your data, not a setting, so it's not part of a settings backup.
Stats and charts
Turn history on and Settings → History & Stats shows a dashboard (built on SwiftUI Charts):
- Top artists by play count.
- Listening time, total and recent.
- 7-day trend of how much you've played.
- Listening by hour, so you can see when you listen.
- Top card that flips between artists, tracks, and albums.
Two columns on a wide window, one on a narrow one.
Monthly Wrap
Your month, wrapped. Pick any month for a personal, Wrapped-style summary. Save it as a PNG, or send it to Messages, Mail, AirDrop, and anywhere else through the macOS share sheet.
Retention
You pick how long to keep it in Settings → History & Stats. Older entries clear at the next launch.
| Keep for | |
|---|---|
| Forever | Nothing is auto-cleared. |
| 7 / 30 / 90 / 180 / 365 days | Entries older than your pick clear at next launch. |
The !stats chat command
Viewers can pull up your listening stats in Twitch chat with !stats. It only replies while you're live, so it stays quiet off-air.
In Settings → History & Stats you control what it says:
- Window: Today, This stream (since you went live), Last 7 days, or All time.
- Include: any mix of play count, listening time, top track, and top artist. A live preview shows the exact reply.
- Aliases and cooldowns: extra trigger names plus per-everyone and per-person cooldowns.
See Bot Commands for the full command list.
Privacy
Nothing leaves your Mac. No account, no sync, no upload. Delete your history or turn the feature off and the log is gone.
Bot Commands
Full !song, !sr, !queue, !skip, and vote-to-skip command reference for WolfWave. With cooldowns, permissions, and channel-point and bits redemptions.
Appearance
Pick Light, Dark, or System for WolfWave. System follows macOS. Light and Dark override it for the whole app, the menu bar menu included.
